Adults

Note: This process applies to Bromley Council adult social care practitioners with access to Liquid Logic only. If you are a member of the public, an external agency/professional or based within another council service please refer to guidance in Requesting Adult Social Care Support.

To raise an internal safeguarding adult's concern, the practitioner or team with case responsibility should complete the 'Contact Form' on Liquid Logic, ticking YES to safeguarding concern.

This will open the fact finding and information gathering pages to determine if the concerns meet the threshold for a safeguarding adult enquiry.

Practitioners should liaise with their line manager in the first instance to advise them of the concern and take advice. The line manager will support in information gathering, fact finding and threshold decision making.

If you are concerned that an adult is in imminent danger from abuse or neglect, or that a criminal act has taken place you should contact the police by dialling 999.

  3. Investigate actual (or suspected) abuse or neglect; and
  4. Support adults who are at risk of, or experiencing abuse or neglect.

All safeguarding processes, forms and guidance can be found in the local resource area.
